Sam Proffitt
Co-host
Samuel Proffitt was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. After high school he moved to North Carolina where he attend college and played soccer. While in college, Sam discovered his desire to help his community and started working for the fire department and local EMS system as a medic. In 2005, he set out for warmer weather and relocated to Miami Beach , FL where he lives today. He returns to Wilmington , NC for four months during the year to continue to work for the Wrightsville Beach Fire Department.
When asked who he contributes his success to, he said, “Without question, my Mom, Dad, and family”. “They have always supported me on every decision and move I have made. I couldn’t have done it without them.” He added, “I also have to thank all my friends at the fire department (ocean rescue), who have always given me a home and have influenced me more than they could ever imagine”.
When Sam is not filming, you can find him working out or running on Miami Beach . He enjoys all outdoor activities and living a healthy and fit lifestyle. He also enjoys playing the guitar, but adds he is not very good.
